Shafagh Abosaba, film editor, director, writer, and producer, was born in Tehran in 1995. She has always been interested in the power of storytelling through the medium of cinema. After studying cinema at ART University of Tehran with specialization on film editing, she worked as a film editor and assistant editor for several years, collaborating on a variety of feature-length and short films. Continuing to pursue her passion for cinema, Shafagh participated in the Karnameh course and co-directed “Inside the Skin.” Maryam Mahdiye is a director, writer, and producer born in Tehran in 1995. They obtained a bachelor’s degree in cinema with a specialization in screenplay writing at ART University of Tehran. Their passion for cinema and literature led them to pursue a career in filmmaking. Maryam’s first short film, “Sona,” was selected for the EIFF 2020. They then co-directed their second short film, “Inside the Skin,” in Karnameh Institute.
